Absolute Beginner Wheel Throwing

Always wanted to try the pottery wheel? This 3-session course is the perfect place to start. Designed for complete beginners, this class will guide you through the full wheel throwing process fromstart to finish. 

No experience is needed, and you don’t need to have done a wheel taster before - just comealong, give it a go, and enjoy learning something new.

Across the three sessions, you’ll learn how to throw your piece on the wheel, trim and refine it, then decorate and glaze it ready for firing.

Session 1: Learn the basics of wheel throwing and create your piece
Session 2: Trim and refine your work
Session 3: Decorate and glaze your finished piece
The first two sessions run over two consecutive weeks, with the third glazing session booked at a later date.

Experience level: Absolute beginner
Includes: Clay, tools, tuition, glazing and firing
