Refund Policy
A full refund will be given if you cancel 2 weeks prior to the
class starting.
No refund will be given if your cancellation occurs within 1
week of the class starting date.
Non-Attendance
If you are unable to make a class because of illness or for personal reasons, we can offer a rescheduled class if available.
The Pottery Shed reserves the right to cancel classes due to
insufficient enrolment. We will endeavour to give you 5 days notice and a full refund will be issued if this is the case.
Health and Safety
The Pottery Shed takes the health and wellbeing of their students extremely seriously.
Parents/Guardians and students use the studio at their own risk and must be aware of the inherent hazards of a working pottery studio environment. These risks include the use of sharp tools,
exposure to chemicals and silica dust.
All of our students will receive a short briefing on health and safety before commencing their session.
- Please wear appropriate old clothing, including suitable ‘closed toe’ shoes.
Aprons will be provided. - Please leave valuable jewellery at home.
- Please speak to a member of staff if you need use of a first aid kit.
- Masks are provided for sanding and this should always be done outside or over a sink with running water.
- Always clean with a damp sponge/cloth and do not sweep as clay dust can be bad for your health.
- The meeting point in the event of an evacuation from the studio is in the car park
General
- Please note the start and end time for your session and arrive with plenty of time
- Pottery is not an exact science. Results can vary and can be unpredictable.
- We take photos/videos of life at the studio as well as of student work. These are often used on social media. If you would rather not be involved in this please let us know.
- Please ensure any tools you have used are cleaned and put back where they belong.
- Please do not remove any tools, or other equipment from the studio without prior permission.
